Nimble Research gives your team sourced web data inside Claude Cowork

You ask Claude for prices, people or reviews in plain English. The Nimble Research skill runs the web research and returns a table. Every row links to the page it came from.

How it works

You type one request and the skill does the rest

1 · You ask
Use Nimble Research to log every Medik8 price on Lookfantastic each month.

Start with "Use Nimble Research". Name the company, brand, retailer or list you care about.

2 · The skill picks the method
Quick factOne web search answers it in seconds.
Research tableA Nimble agent reads the websites and fills every column.
Monthly trackerCowork repeats the request on a schedule and adds new rows.

Before showing a table, the skill checks it for missing rows and duplicates and tells you what it found.

3 · You get the file
medik8_prices.xlsx saved to your folder

Claude shows the table in the task and saves a spreadsheet. Each row carries a source link and the date it was read.

Five examples

Your Consumer team's requests ran on live data in October 2026

You type
Use Nimble Research to log every Medik8 product and price on lookfantastic.com.
The skill
  • Reads every page of the Medik8 listing, then each product page.
  • Checks that it has one row for each product on the listing, and says so when a listing does not show a product count to check against.
  • Saves a file that a monthly task adds rows to (tab 3).
You get
69 products
Each row has price, previous price, promotion, stock, size, rating and review count, and the value stated for gift sets. 20 products were on promotion on 14 October.

You type
Use Nimble Research to profile Medik8's leadership team down to N-2, with their career histories.
The skill
  • Confirms the right company with its Companies House number.
  • Confirms each person is current from their own profile or a dated public source, and marks which one it used.
  • Leaves out anyone it cannot confirm. In testing it caught two people listed on an old staff record who had left.
  • Works in two steps: the leadership team first, then the managers under each leader, function by function.
  • Lists previous employers with years and a source link for each.
You get
76 people
The table holds 8 C-suite executives, 26 N-1 leaders and 42 N-2 managers. It cites 447 previous roles.

71 of the 76 are confirmed from LinkedIn profiles; Medik8 publishes few names. The file marks which.
You type
Use Nimble Research to count the Forward Deployed Engineers at each of these 20 AI companies.
The skill
  • It runs a public LinkedIn search for all 20 companies at the same time.
  • Finds the company's own name for the role and counts it in its own column.
  • Reads every page of each LinkedIn search, and marks each count as a full search or a minimum.
You get
20 companies
Each row has the headcount, the managers in it, the company's own title for the role and sample profile links. Every count is a minimum of public profiles. A full search means every LinkedIn search was read to its last page.

LinkedIn counts move from one run to the next. Re-run any count before you rely on it.
You type
Use Nimble Research to show how customers rated Medik8 on Lookfantastic and Cult Beauty each month last year, and what they liked most.
The skill
  • Collects every review in the 12 months for each product and retailer.
  • Removes reviews that a retailer repeats under several products.
  • Separates the reviews Medik8 syndicates to every retailer from each retailer’s own verified reviews, so no review is counted twice.
  • Tags what each customer liked or criticised from one fixed list.
You get
176 reviews
Advanced Night Restore on both retailers, October to December 2025. 119 reviews appear on both sites, syndicated by Medik8; 57 are each retailer’s own. The syndicated reviews average 4.96 stars, the retailers’ verified buyers 4.63.
Most liked, share of 4 and 5 star reviews, deduplicated
You type
Use Nimble Research to list the UK consumer companies that Inflexion owns today.
The skill
  • Builds a new agent for a question it has not seen before.
  • Tests it on one firm and shows you the first rows.
  • Asks you to settle any unclear rule, then runs the rest of your list.
  • Checks its list against the firm’s own published portfolio and shows what it left out and why.
You get

Each company is cited to Inflexion's portfolio page with the date it was read.

Claude asked whether minority stakes count. L'Oréal bought a majority of Medik8 in 2025, and Inflexion kept a minority stake.
Setup

Setup takes three steps in Claude

1

Connect Nimble to Claude

  1. Your Claude admin adds Nimble once for Cinven. In Organization settings, then Connectors, the admin clicks Add custom connector and pastes this address:
    https://mcp.nimbleway.com/mcp
  2. You then open Customize and then Connectors in Claude.
  3. Find Nimble and choose Connect. Use the Nimble login you received from Nimble to sign in.
  4. Click Approve when Claude asks for access to Nimble.
Only a Claude admin can add a connector for Cinven. Each person then connects once with their own Nimble login.
2

Add the Nimble Research skill

  1. Your Claude admin turns on Skills and Code execution and file creation in Organization settings, then Plugins and skills.
  2. Get the skill file with the yellow button.
  3. In Claude, open Customize and then Skills.
  4. Upload the file and check that the skill shows as on.
Your Claude admin can also upload the skill once for everyone at Cinven, on the same Plugins and skills page.
3

Check that it works

  1. Open a new task in Cowork.
  2. Paste the request shown below and send it.
  3. Claude answers in a few seconds and links the page it used.
  4. Look for a Nimble step above the answer. Without it, Claude used its own search and the connector is off.
Use Nimble Research to find who runs Medik8 today.
Before you start

What to expect from each request

How long it takesA quick fact comes back in seconds. A research table takes a few minutes, and Claude shows its progress while it works.
What it costsResearch tables use credits from Cinven's pilot balance, which has a fixed cap. Claude tells you how many runs a large request needs before it starts. As a guide: a price list is one run; a leadership map down to N-2 is three to four; a year of reviews for one product on two retailers is about eight.
Where the data comes fromEach row shows the web page it came from and the date Claude read it.

Monthly tracking

Cowork runs your price request every month without you

1 · Once, by hand

You run the request once and check the file.

2 · Once, in Scheduled

You add one prompt to a new scheduled task. Cowork keeps it with its schedule.

3 · Every month

Cowork runs it in the first week of each month. Your laptop can be closed.

1

Run the request once and check the file

  1. Open a new task in Cowork and send the request below.
  2. Open the file and check the products and prices.
  3. Keep the file name. The monthly task adds its rows to this file.
Use Nimble Research to log every Medik8 product and price on lookfantastic.com. Save it to my Claude files as medik8_prices.xlsx.
If you made medik8_prices.xlsx before 21 October 2026, start a new file: the columns changed.
2

Create the scheduled task

  1. Click Scheduled in the left sidebar of Cowork.
  2. Click New task and choose Create with Claude.
  3. Paste the prompt below and send it.
  4. Claude shows the task name, the schedule and the instructions. Click Schedule.
  5. Set the task to run without asking for approval. A task that waits for approval stops until you return.
Create a scheduled task that runs every Monday at 7 am. If today is not in the first 7 days of the month, stop without doing anything. Otherwise, use Nimble Research to log every Medik8 product and price on lookfantastic.com. Check the result for missing products first. If any are missing, do not change the file; tell me what is missing. Otherwise add the rows to medik8_prices.xlsx with this month in the month column, then tell me which products are new, which are gone and which prices changed since last month.
Cowork offers hourly, daily, weekly and weekday schedules. The first line of the prompt turns the weekly run into a monthly one.
3

Read the summary each month

  1. Click Scheduled to see past and upcoming runs.
  2. Open a run to read the summary and the updated file.
  3. Pause, edit or delete the task from the same page.

Any request can run on a schedule

Weekly pricesDelete the first sentence of the prompt to run every Monday. Weekly runs catch short promotions and use four times the credits.
Other trackersUse the same steps for new reviews each month or leadership changes each quarter. Change the request in the prompt.
More retailersName each retailer in the request. Claude runs them at the same time and keeps one file per retailer.
Where the file livesKeep the file in your Claude files. A scheduled task runs in the cloud and cannot open a file on your laptop.
